• Checkpoint® is a tax and accounting research resource. It provides access to the federal tax laws, cases and regulations as well as news and analysis of these laws and regulations. The UMC Library has a limited number of logon passwords available for student use.  Preference is given to students in the federal tax course.
  
  
  To get a User Name and Password go to:
  
  
• http://ria.thomson.com/cploginids
  
  
• Enter the requested information on the form: First Name, Last Name and email address (please use your UMC email address so we can verify that you are a UMC user).  Once you have done this you will receive an email with a User Name and Password. Use the link in the email to logon to CheckPoint, and change the password as directed.  Copy and paste the user name and password into the user login page to ensure correct entry.
  
  
• It is a good idea to check the box that creates the cookie for the log on.  The User Name and Password may be used outside of the UMC network.
  
  
• Save the your User Name and new Password where you can find it. If you have a problem with your User Name and Password please email: James Carlson with details. It is easy to fix any problem.
