Electronic Journal collections
APS Online - Over 1,100 periodicals that first began publishing between 1740 and 1900, including special interest and general magazines, literary and professional journals, children's and women's magazines, and many other historically-significant periodicals.
Emerald Journals The Emerald journal collection contains over 170 titles in the fields of management, information science and engineering. Flagship titles such as Management Decision, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Documentation, Leadership & Organization Development Journal, The TQM Magazine and Industrial Robot. JSTOR - Includes journals in many disciplines including the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Provides access to complete back runs Volume 1, number 1. The UMC Library subscribes to the journals in the Arts & Sciences Collection I.
LEXIS®-NEXIS® Academic Universe - A global online information provider specializing in news, business and legal information. The databases add some 9 million documents weekly from over 18,000 sources.
New York Times Historical Database - The New York Times (1851-2001) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue
Project Muse - - Provides access to the full text of the Johns Hopkins University Press's 100+ scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematics. List of titles to which UMC researchers have access is at http://library.umcrookston.edu/muse2.htm
Sage Full-Text Collections consists of more than 230 peer-reviewed journals containing 80,000 plus articles, book reviews, and editorials from SAGE Publications and participating societies. The journals are divided into eleven discipline specific research databases. Disciplines included are:
Communication Studies,
Criminology, Education, Management & Organization Studies, Materials Science, Nursing, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Urban Studies.
